Quite a few PGA Tour players love coming to Riviera Country Club for this event. With a fair amount of history on this course, it is no surprise it’s always a great event with worthy champions.
Take a quick look at what this event is all about.
We always look for great story lines at each event, and this week that story is about Kevin Hall. Kevin will get to tee it up at the Riviera Country Club courtesy of the Charlie Sifford exemption, an annual spot given to a minority golfer in hopes of advancing diversity in the game.
Kevin didn’t have the best opening round, carding a (+8) 79 which included one lone birdie. I can only imagine how he felt on the biggest stage in golf. We are hoping he can settle in and have a solid round to get his confidence going in the right direction.
The Genesis Open expects to have some tough weather come in, so it’s hard to say how it will effect the golf tournament.
Stay tuned and thanks as always for reading our BLOG.
Until next time, go out and make some birdies!
